I am Jang Seung Won, the 13th president of the Digital Seoul Culture Arts University.

Since raising our flag with the founding philosophy of 「Creativity·Inteligence·Humanity」, the universal values ​​of humanity, our university has created 17 departments and with over 3,000 students and 12,000 alumni, has taken place as the only university specializing in cultural arts in Korea.

I strongly believe that this is the result of the combined efforts of the school's past chairpersons, presidents, and dedicated faculty and staff, as well as the students' passion for learning and alumni who wish for the development of their school.

Facing the 4th Industrial Revolution, we are living in a period that is changing faster than ever before. As creativity becomes competitiveness, there is a need for creative talent and lifelong, continuous learning rather than temporary learning. By accompanying this trend in the cultural and artistic world, the ‘digitalization’ of cultural arts, and changes in the creative activity platform for cultural artists is booming.

Our university will make every effort to meet the challenges of this era by nurturing creative, professional talents who will lead global cultural arts, and by becoming the only university in Korea specializing in cultural arts with field-oriented global competitiveness.

Specialization in cultural arts is our university’s only and special asset. In addition, our school's on-field, practical education, on·offline education, and global education system will further strengthen the value of cultural artistic assets.

Now is the period in history where creativity is needed the most. Our university will continue to pursue its vision of nurturing creative, professional talents who will lead global cultural arts. The synergy of creativity can be realized through the process of communicating and collaborating with mutual respect and consideration even in a rapidly changing society, and our school will not hold back because of this.
